SAN ANTONIO, Texas - A Bexar County judge has sentenced Adiah Roberson to 40 years in prison for the murder of Daniel Shrewsbury, a Sonic restaurant manager who was killed while trying to report a theft.
On Friday, January 30, 2026, Judge Benjamin Robertson of the 226th District Court sentenced Roberson to 40 years for murder and an additional 20 years for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The sentences will run concurrently.
The case stems from a July 2024 incident at a Sonic restaurant in San Antonio. According to evidence presented in court, Roberson attempted to pay for her order using counterfeit money.
