Live Oak Police Arrest Woman on Texas ‘Doxing’ Charge Under Amended State Law

LIVE OAK, Texas - The Live Oak Police Department announced that an arrest has been made in connection with an alleged doxing case, following an investigation into the unlawful disclosure of personal information.

On the morning of January 30, 2026, Live Oak police officers served an arrest warrant for Unlawful Disclosure of Residence Address or Telephone Number under Texas Penal Code § 42.074. The statute, enacted in 2023 and commonly referred to as the state’s “doxing” law, was amended in 2025 to specifically include disclosures made through electronic communications.

According to police, the investigation began after a citizen reported that their private identifying information had been published without consent. Detectives reviewed the complaint, gathered evidence, and submitted the case for charges. As a result, an arrest warrant was issued for Christina Lichtenberg
