San Antonio housing market showing signs of sellers pulling out as new listings plummet

San Antonio logged the largest year-over-year drop in new listings among the top 50 U.S. metros last month as prospective sellers began retreating from the market.

In December, San Antonio had 2,120 new residential listings, a decline of about 20% from 2,654 in December 2024, according to data from Redfin. This is the second month in a row that the Alamo City had one of the biggest year-over-year decreases in new listings. In November, San Antonio came in third with a drop of 17.8%.
