Medina Valley ISD superintendent becomes third SA-area district leader to leave job this year

After nearly four years leading one of the area’s fastest growing school districts, Medina Valley Independent School District Superintendent Scott Caloss plans to retire in June.

“Medina Valley’s been great to me. I love it here. There’s a lot of good people here,” Caloss said in an interview. “I’m sad to go, but it’s time.”

With his departure, Medina Valley ISD becomes the third district in the San Antonio area to undergo a leadership change in the last four months — and the second this week…
