Texas Car Dealership Named ‘Legit Auto Group’ Under Investigation for Illegally Selling Vehicles

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office seized eight vehicles this week from an unlicensed car dealership in southern Texas. The car lot’s name? Legit Auto Group.

While conducting an online investigation, detectives discovered the dealership was selling automobiles, including sports cars, at unusually low rates. This prompted the local authorities to look into the matter further, according to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar.

There doesn’t appear to be very much that is ‘legit’ about the car dealership

On Tuesday, several agencies descended upon Legit Auto Group, towing away vehicles and taking pictures. During a press conference later that day, Sheriff Salazar said dealership had not stolen the vehicles, but that didn’t mean they were “legit.”

“At this point, I don’t know that there’s anything legit about this car dealership.” Salazar said. “I can tell you that the whole thing seems to be improperly done.”…
