BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – UPDATE on 3/3/2026: The medical examiner’s office has identified an inmate who died after an assault at the Bexar County jail.
Tammy Hovland, 59, died from blunt force and strangulation injuries, the medical examiner’s office said. Her death was ruled a homicide.
