SAN ANTONIO – A local animal rescue organization is racing against the clock to find temporary homes for dozens of dogs in what it calls a life-saving effort for the community.
San Antonio Pets Alive! is seeking 45 foster families by 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 8. Without those temporary placements, the dogs could miss out on scheduled transport opportunities later this month that would take them out of Texas to areas where adoptable pets are in higher demand.
According to SAPA!, the dogs are set to leave on “golden ticket” transport journeys scheduled for March 20 and March 23. The program is designed to relocate dogs from overcrowded shelters to partner organizations in other regions, where they have a better chance of finding permanent homes…
