Local taco chain Tia’s Taco Hut is moving ahead steadily with its San Antonio takeover, as the taqueria continues to open new locations with more planned for the future. The latest opening hit one of the city’s busiest streets earlier this month, marking the 16th location for the restaurant.
Customers can now visit Tia’s Taco Hut at 4519 Fredericksburg Road, which was built out in the former home of a Wendy’s. The restaurant chain announced the opening in an Instagram post on March 2.
“Big news, taco lovers! We’re officially OPEN at our new location and ready to serve up your favorites in a fresh new space,” the business wrote, noting that throughout this week, the new Tia’s Taco Hut location will close at 3 p.m. for training, but starting Monday, March 16, the Fredericksburg Road outpost will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
This isn’t the only location Tia’s Taco Hut has been cooking up. Another new addition is in the works for San Antonio’s Far Northeast Side, near the intersection of 1604 and Nacogdoches Road. Construction records show a review of the project has been completed, so it’s only a matter of time before that location is ready to welcome guests…
