San Antonio is home to the most popular retail center in the state.
The Rim on the far North Side had 16.6 million visitors in 2025, according to a new report from commercial real estate firm JLL. It ranked ahead of retail centers in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston, despite dealing with recent obstacles such as highway construction and retail turnover.
Charlotte, N.C.-based Big V Property Group, the majority owner of The Rim, attributes the top ranking to its diverse selection of retailers and restaurants, coupled with the strong daily traffic counts of 160,000 cars along Interstate 10 and the numerous points of access to and from The Rim.
