San Antonio has no shortage of late-night haunts, but only one bar kept those spirits alive year-round with a deliberately spooky vibe — Near Dark, which is nestled within the city’s Lavaca neighborhood at 1024 S. Presa St.
After scaring up crowds with craft cocktails and a sinister setting for five years, bar co-owner Frankie Rios is writing the small business’s epitaph. But not before a graveyard smash. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday at the bar.
