Ex-attorney pleads guilty, admits taking money from orphaned kids

A former San Antonio attorney has pleaded guilty to multiple charges after being accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars intended for children whose parents died in a 2021 murder-suicide, according to authorities.

Karen Kay Hogan, 69, pleaded guilty to a charge of misapplying more than $300,000 of financial property and a charge of exploitation of children, according to Kendall County officials.
