Authorities arrested a Universal City private-school band teacher Thursday on charges of indecency with a child and child grooming, according to the Express-News.
Stephen Strawn, an instructor at First Baptist Academy near Randolph AFB, was arrested on charges stemming from a Feb. 11 incident with a student, the paper reports, citing Universal City records. The 50-year-old was being booked into Bexar County Jail as of the report.
In a statement to the Express-News, First Baptist Church and First Baptist Academy Lead Pastor Ryan Gilbert said the campus learned of the allegations when Child Protective Services visited on March 16 to conduct an investigation.
