‘I have a murder under my belt’: SAPD re-arrests fired Whataburger worker they say threatened boss

An ex-Whataburger employee who authorities say threatened to kill his manager over his firing last year at a Northeast Side location was re-arrested over the weekend.

Robert Perry Jr., 33, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon stemming from a July 26 incident at the Whataburger at 13900 O’Connor Road near Madison High School. He was arrested and is now at the Bexar County jail with bail set at $60,000.

This is his second arrest in connection with the case. He was first taken into custody in August but was released after posting bond…
