Thunderbirds to soar into San Antonio sky for Great Texas Airshow

SAN ANTONIO – Sit back in lawn chairs and look up at the sky at a North Side military base in May for the Great Texas Airshow.

Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph will be open to the public on May 2-3 for people to witness the fan-favorite aircraft teams from the U.S. Department of War — The Thunderbirds and Golden Knights.

This year’s theme for the Great Texas Airshow is “Let Freedom Roar; Honoring 250 Years.” The show will begin at 11 a.m., but the Thunderbirds’ performance will lift off at 3 p.m., according to their website…
