Bonham Exchange general manager Joan Duckworth expected to talk about a fundraising campaign for fire sprinklers the nightclub needs when she met with Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones on Wednesday.
Jones had pledged to help its owners raise up to $550,000 for the sprinklers, which are required under the city’s fire code. The club came close to being shutdown in January because it had flouted that rule for years.
