Gusty winds, hail threat increases in San Antonio as storms blow into Texas

Severe weather risk is increasing Sunday as rounds of showers and thunderstorms continue across the San Antonio area, according to the National Weather Service.

Meteorologists say rain chances are around 80%, and while storms won’t be constant everywhere, any that develop could bring brief heavy downpours, gusty winds, and a low chance for isolated severe weather.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed the area under a Level 2 of 5 risk for severe storms. Highs will stay near the upper 70s with breezy conditions at times…
