SAN ANTONIO — An 18-wheeler caught on fire in the Shavano Park area, leading to the closing a stretch of road getting to Loop 1604 early Wednesday morning.
The accident happened just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night on the Loop 1604 access road between Northwest Military and Bitters.
Investigators say a Sysco Food Service truck overheated, catching the cab on fire. The driver made it out safely, but the fire burned the cab to ashes and caused a spill of truck fluids. No other injuries were reported…
