Popular San Antonio eatery Gigi’s Deli is taking a break from serving up East Coast-style sandwiches as chef and owner Matt Garcia turns his focus to a new venture in partnership with Tatanka Guerrero, the owner of El Tigre Coffee Roasters.
Miles is the name of a new cocktail bar and bistro that Garcia and Guerrero have been cooking up on East Commerce Street. Garcia told MySA that he will act as the owner, operator and director of hospitality of the new concept.
“I’m excited to work on this next venture and move kind of more into the front-of-house and hospitality side of things and really just curating the experience from top to bottom,” Garcia said during a phone interview. “So part of that is just putting Gigi’s on just a little bit of a hiatus while we get this place open.”…
