The San Antonio building that once housed Jefferson Bodega has been transformed into a new icehouse concept, which is expected to open to the public in the coming days.
Donaldson Avenue is now home to Jefferson Market Icehouse, a new concept founded by Olaf Harmel and Gerry Shirley. In the past, the duo has founded San Antonio cocktail bars, like The Modernist and La Ruina. After receiving a tip that the business might open soon, MySA reached out to Harmel to confirm Jefferson Market Icehouse’s opening date.
“We are definitely opening up this week,” Harmel said during a phone conversation on Wednesday, April 15. “By the weekend, we’ll be fully functional.”
Jefferson Market Icehouse will be open 4 p.m. to midnight on weekdays with extended hours planned for Saturdays. Sunday hours have yet to be determined, but more will be revealed in due time, Harmel said.
