Northeast Side Dumpster Dive Turns Into Drive-By Horror Outside Taco Bell

A late-night search through a dumpster on San Antonio’s Northeast Side ended in gunfire early Tuesday, when a man was shot in the chest near a Taco Bell and rushed to a local hospital, police said. He was reported in stable condition. Witnesses told officers a dark SUV rolled past, someone inside fired a single round, and the vehicle sped off toward Wurzbach Parkway.

Police: Drive-by During Dumpster Dive

According to News 4 San Antonio, the victim and a woman had been dumpster diving along Perrin Beitel near Naco Perrin Boulevard when a dark-colored SUV drove by and someone inside opened fire. The man was hit on the right side of his chest, and the woman quickly called for help, authorities told the outlet.
