Smoke advisory in place for 400-acre Camp Pendleton brush fire

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A smoke advisory is in place for northern San Diego County and base residents as a several hundred-acre brush fire burns on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.

The Range Fire started on Marine Corps Base in the Zulu Training Area at 3:29 p.m. Tuesday at 100 acres and grew to 402 acres by that evening, according to Cal Fire.
