CHULA VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — After nearly two months, the murder trial of Larry Millete has entered its final phase, with the jury expected to receive instructions Tuesday and the prosecution to present its closing arguments.

Larry is standing trial for the alleged murder of his wife, Maya Millete, who went missing on Jan. 7, 2021, from their home in Chula Vista.
The prosecution has argued that Maya was a woman with plans to leave her husband — and that she was someone who would never disappear or leave her children, which is an argument that the defense has made.
Maya’s body has never been found; therefore, the case is based on circumstantial evidence, leaving the burden of proof on the people to convince the jury that Larry did indeed kill Maya…
