SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man in his late 20s was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly attempted to rob a Liberty Station store with a knife before slashing the tires of a nearby vehicle, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD).
Armed with a knife, the suspect reportedly attempted to shoplift from a store located on Dewey Road, near Liberty Station. When authorities were called a little after noon, the suspect began slashing the tires of a nearby vehicle, according to SDPD.
Authorities tased the suspect, who had previous wounds that reopened during the altercation.
