Extreme heat and monsoons to stick around through next week in San Diego

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — It’s going to stay hot through the weekend and into next week. The extreme heat and humidity are making conditions across Southern California feel muggier and hotter than they actually are.

The heat dome is forecast to stick around through next week and monsoons are bringing high humidity to San Diego County to go along with the extreme heat.

The last heat advisory in place peaked Wednesday night into Thursday and ended at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Highs of 90 to 115 degrees are expected and the chance of showers and thunderstorms will linger over the mountains and deserts from Thursday through early next week, the National Weather Service (NWS) reports…
