POINT LOMA, Calif. (KUSI/FOX 5) — Multiple shots were fired during an hours-long SWAT standoff in Point Loma Tuesday night, and authorities have confirmed that the suspect died as a result of the shooting.
San Diego Police Department officers were initially dispatched to the 2700 block of Nipoma Street around 4:40 p.m. for a welfare check call. The call was later upgraded to a report of a residential burglary in progress.
