Supervisor Aguirre makes endorsement in National City mayoral race

NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) – San Diego County Supervisor Paloma Aguirre endorsed Jose Rodriguez in his bid for National City Mayor on Wednesday.

The endorsement comes following National City Mayor Ron Morrison’s decision to retire in August after 33 years of elected service. Serving as a National City councilmember and labor organizer, Aguirre said she endorsed Rodriguez for his track record in the South Bay.

“As Mayor, he will hold polluters accountable, create good-paying local jobs, support small businesses and ensure National City’s growth benefits the families who live here—not just wealthy corporations,” Aguirre shared in a news release…
