SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Two people suffered serious injuries after a pickup truck rolled over while driving on the sand at Fiesta Island Wednesday night, authorities said.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. near the 1400 block of Fiesta Island Road in Mission Bay Park.
Police said a 38-year-old man was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger on the sand between the water and the roadway with two adult female passengers inside.
