SAN DIEGO (FOX5/KUSI) — A potentially powerful El Niño developing in the Pacific Ocean could have significant impacts along San Diego County’s coastline, with scientists closely watching the potential for larger waves, coastal flooding and increased erosion.
Researchers at UC San Diego’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography are monitoring the developing climate pattern and what it could mean for Southern California in the coming months.
