SAN DIEGO (KUSI/ FOX 5) — A 70-year-old woman suffered serious injuries Saturday afternoon after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the Fairmont Village neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD).
The woman was reportedly walking on Landis Street, crossing 44th Street in the crosswalk just past noon on Saturday. Meanwhile, a 36-year-old man was driving a Chrysler 300 westbound on Landis Street and stopped at the stop sign, according to SDPD.
The Chrysler made a left turn to proceed on 44th Street and allegedly struck the woman in the crosswalk.
