San Diego County Animal Services officers didn’t hesitate to push the needles aside in a Bonita cactus patch in order to rescue a dog trapped and covered with cactus spines. It had been on September 17, 2026 when both Officer Morris and his trainee waded through the dense, thorny bushes to save the “good boy” who just had a very painful experience with Mother Nature. The stray pooch was covered with painful spines from head to toe.
The rescuers used a catch pole to keep a safe distance from the stray pooch and patiently led him out of the area to a clear trail…
