An investigation is underway after a 45-year-old man was found dead in his cell at the Vista Jail Tuesday night.
San Diego County sheriff’s deputies found the man during a routine security check. Investigators say he appeared to have died by suicide. He was alone in the cell at the time.
The man’s name has not been released.
The Sheriff’s Office says he had been in custody since February 2024, following his arrest by the San Diego Fugitive Task Force on warrants related to child molestation charges…
