SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — On Sept. 25, 1978, Pacific Southwest Airlines Flight 182 collided with a private Cessna plane in mid-air right over the North Park neighborhood of San Diego.
The tragic incident resulted in 144 lives lost and numerous homes that were either damaged or destroyed.
Friday marked 48 years since the collision, which was PSA’s first fatal accident and the deadliest aviation disaster in California’s history.
