VISTA, Calif. — A probation compliance check in Vista Tuesday morning led to the arrest of a 32-year-old man, authorities said.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station’s Community Policing and Problem-Solving Unit (COPPS) conducted the probation compliance check in the 400 block of Dennis Drive around 7:30 a.m.

The resident, Dylan Monroe, was arrested shortly thereafter as the following items were found by authorities:
- 4 ounces of fentanyl
- 2 ounces of methamphetamine
- 100 fentanyl (M30) pills
- Half an ounce of psilocybin mushrooms
- Switchblade knife
- Stun gun
- Pepper spray
- A large amount of U.S. currency
SDSO said Monroe is now facing numerous charges, including possession of narcotics for sale and felon in possession of tear gas/stun gun. He was booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
