A pedestrian suffered multiple fractures Saturday in Paradise Hills when she was hit by a motorist in a sedan.
The male driver, 55, heading westbound on Paradise Valley Road in a 2006 Hyundai Azera around 6:10 p.m, struck the woman as she crossed from the south curb to the north, according to San Diego police.
As soon as the pedestrian reached the north curb, she turned and stepped back into the street in front of the Hyundai.
Medics sent the pedestrian to Scripps Mercy, according to OnScene.TV. Doctors found that she sustained fractures to her right arm, right leg and pelvis, police said.
The injuries are not considered life threatening.
Alcohol was not suspected to be a factor in the accident. Both lanes of Paradise Valley Road were closed from Munda Road to Potomac Street as the police department’s Traffic Division conducted an investigation.
