LAKESIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man was found shot dead Tuesday in Lakeside, authorities said.
Around 3:09 p.m., the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department received a call about the shooting at Cactus St. and Woodside Avenue.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found a man, identified as 26-year-old Michael Anthony Johnson, with a gunshot wound. First responders attempted to resuscitate the victim but he was later pronounced dead.

A neighbor, who did not what to be identified, told FOX 5 they pulled into their apartment complex and witnessed a group of four young men acting strange. Minutes later, the resident heard a gunshot.
Authorities are investigating the shooting as a homicide.
No arrests have been made at this time.
