On February 6, 2024, a theft took place at Big 5 Sporting Goods on Fletcher Parkway. The suspect, 33-year-old Steven Baez, took merchandise and left without paying. An employee tried to stop Baez, resulting in a minor altercation. Baez hit the employee with a plastic bag containing a small propane bottle, causing minor injuries.
