Authorities took decisive action to close down a massage parlor in San Diego last week following allegations of prostitution and disruptive activities disturbing nearby religious gatherings.
The city of San Diego announced on Jan. 30 the closure of Ocean Spa Massage Parlor in the Kearny Mesa community, following a comprehensive investigation conducted last year, which spanned over 125 hours, as reported by local CBS8.
According to police reports, noises emanating from the spa were disrupting a nearby youth Bible study group that used to convene in the predominantly Asian neighborhood.
Undercover police operations revealed instances of spa employees soliciting sexual services, resulting in at least four arrests. Additionally, law enforcement discovered nearly 1,300 online advertisements promoting sexual services associated with the parlor over a five-year period.
Other complaints dating back to 2018 included reports of illicit activities such as public sex acts, increased traffic at all hours, audible sexual sounds from the premises disturbing neighboring businesses, and employees wearing sexually suggestive clothing, according to The Daily Mail.
