SAN DIEGO (FOX5/KUSI) — Investigators from the San Diego Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run.
The incident took place in San Diego’s Oak Park neighborhood in the evening hours of Sunday, Feb. 11. It was reported by police that a pedestrian was hit by an unknown vehicle in the 3000 block of 54th Street around 6 p.m.
The victim, a 41-year-old woman whose name was not released, remained in the street along the center median and may have been struck by other vehicles before first-responders arrived, according to police. The woman was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators reviewed video evidence that was captured in the area of the hit-and-run, determining the suspect’s vehicle is possibly a light-colored small van or SUV. A screenshot from the video can be seen at the top of this page.
