Amazon tractor-trailer truck blocks lanes on I-805 following crash

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — An Amazon tractor-trailer truck veered off the roadway Sunday morning on southbound Interstate 805, according to California Highway Patrol.

For reasons unknown, the driver lost control of the vehicle and went off into the dirt before reentering the highway south of La Jolla Village Drive, authorities described in a SigAlert around 6:30 a.m.

The tractor-trailer truck then came to a stop, facing oncoming traffic. CHP said both front tires went flat as a result of the crash.

As of 6:58 a.m., the tractor-trailer truck was blocking at least three lanes of southbound traffic on I-805. Motorists could be seen merging into the far left lane to bypass the accident scene.
