Gusty Winds and Cooling Trend Expected in San Diego, Southern California Deserts

The US National Weather Service San Diego has issued a forecast for gusty winds and a cooling trend in the region’s deserts and desert mountain slopes.

On Saturday afternoon and evening, southwest to west winds are expected to gust between 40 and 50 mph, with locally stronger gusts possible in and just east of the San Gorgonio Pass.

A cooling trend will continue into Sunday, bringing temperatures down to near seasonal averages.

While Saturday will see a few degrees of cooling due to a trough of low pressure passing to the north, temperatures will still remain slightly above seasonal averages in most areas.
