Multi-vehicle crash on 805 freeway prompts lane closure

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A multi-vehicle crash on San Diego’s northbound 805 freeway prompted a lane closure during the morning commute Friday, authorities said.

According to California Highway Patrol, the incident was first reported around 5:48 a.m., just north of the Adams Avenue exit in the Normal Heights area.

FOX 5/KUSI traveled passed the scene, where at least five vehicles were seen lined along the far left lanes of traffic. Some of the vehicles had visible damage.

A San Diego firetruck and CHP vehicles were also at the scene, blocking the far left lane during the response.

No serious injuries have been reported at this time.
