70-year-old bicyclist dies in collision with vehicle

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A 70-year-old bicyclist is dead after a collision with a vehicle Saturday afternoon, authorities say.

Officers with the San Diego Police Department responded to the crash at 2:38 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen and Cañon streets in the Roseville/Fleet Ridge neighborhood of San Diego.

Feather Alert issued for indigenous woman missing out of Riverside County

According to the police department, a 92-year-old woman was driving a Chevy Volt west on Cañon Street Saturday afternoon when police report she turned left onto Evergreen Street into the path of the bicyclist who was riding east.

Police say the 70-year-old man hit the right-side rear door of the vehicle and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. He has not yet been identified by authorities.

The elderly female driver was not injured.
