LeBron James Sends Strong Message to Dodgers After Advancing to NLCS

LeBron James watched the Los Angeles Dodgers shut out the San Diego Padres to advance to the NLCS, then sent a strong message to the franchise.

The Dodgers were dominant in a do-or-die Game 5 on Friday, beating the Padres 2-0 on the strength of a pair of home runs and five strong innings from Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

James took in the game at Dodger Stadium, sitting with wife Savannah to cheer on the Dodgers. The MLB’s official account on X shared a video of James watching from the stands and laughing beside his wife.

After the game, James took to social media to congratulate the Dodgers and send some support for the next series.

The Dodgers will advance to face the New York Mets in the fourth postseason meeting between the franchises. They last met in the NLDS in 2015, with the series going the distance and the Mets winning in five games.

The Dodgers finished with an MLB-high 98 wins this season, winning the NL West. The Mets needed an extra day to even reach the playoffs, earning the final wild-card berth after winning the first game of a rain-delayed doubleheader with the Atlanta Braves one day after the regular season ended.
