SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man was arrested Tuesday after an attempted bank robbery in Ocean Beach, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 3:41 p.m. in the 1800 block of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, Officer Buttle with the the San Diego Police Department said in a news release.
Police say a man in his 30s, wearing all black clothing and a backpack, walked into the bank and produced a demand note to the teller. The teller then activated the robbery alarm.

The suspect took back the note and left when he realized he wasn’t getting any money, per SDPD.
Authorities near the scene took a man matching the suspect’s description into custody. Bank employees identified the suspect in a curbside lineup.
