SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Starting this weekend, veterans, active-duty military members and their families are invited to attend special events at SeaWorld San Diego in recognition of their service.
From Saturday to Monday, the theme park is hosting special events as part of its “ Red, White and Blue Salute ” to honor Veterans Day weekend, including a daily flag ceremony, a band performance, fireworks shows and more.
Each day until Monday, which is Veterans Day, the park will open with a flag ceremony and the national anthem. The 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing band will perform during the flag raising ceremony on Monday.

Throughout the weekend, guests will have the opportunity to dedicate a flag with a personal note as part of the “Field of Honor,” an installation created with 1,000 American flags.
To continue the celebrations, veterans will be recognized during presentations at the Orca Encounter and Dolphin Adventures.
