Leonard Glenn Francis – the “Fat Leonard” who masterminded a bribery and fraud scheme that rocked the Navy, was yesterday sentenced in federal court in San Diego to 180 months in prison. He was ordered to pay $20 million in restitution to the Navy and a $150,000 fine. Additionally, he was ordered to forfeit $35 million in proceeds from his crimes. Glenn’s Glenn Defense Marine Asia (GDMA ) corporation was sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to pay a $36 million fine.
