Decision Made On Michael Strahan’s Status Amid Controversy

FOX Sports analyst Michael Strahan isn’t expected to face any punishment amid some apparent online backlash for how he was standing during the NFL on FOX ‘s special Veterans Day broadcast from Naval Base San Diego on Sunday (November 10), the Daily Mail reports.

Strahan, 52, a Pro Football Hall of Famer who also hosts the ABC morning news show Good Morning America , was seen with his hands in front of him in an interlocked position while his colleagues all had their hands over their hearts during the playing of the national anthem, as shown in a clip shared by the NFL on FOX X account, which yielded a variety of responses.

“His peers have his back and understand that he wasn’t making the moment about himself. There isn’t going to be any type of punishment or fine going Michael’s way,” a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to the Daily Mail . “He may address it, but he is weighing his options because he never thought this would have ever been a thing. He knows the man he is, and he almost doesn’t want to address the controversy to give it more life.”
