VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle Monday in Vista, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 2 p.m. in the 800 block of Sycamore Avenue, Deputy Tae Lee with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
Authorities responded to calls of a man struck by a vehicle and lying down in the roadway.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition, while the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
