For those basking in the unusually warm temperatures in San Diego, the heat wave is set to continue as the temperatures west of the mountains are soaring above normal trends. Coastal areas have been enjoying the warmth, with temperatures ranging between 64 to 74 degrees, while valleys and inland Orange County are pushing the mercury with a high of 72 to 82 degrees. According to the NWS San Diego, high deserts will see highs of 66 to 70 degrees, and the low deserts are even warmer at 78 to 82 degrees. However, a cool down is anticipated come Sunday, bringing the temperatures back to their seasonal norms.
