Bryan Kim Bullard, 43, of San Diego, pleaded guilty today to distributing fentanyl that resulted in the death of a 25-year-old Carlsbad woman, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of California.
According to the plea agreement, on September 9, 2023, co-defendant Cameron William Fulston, 29, of Carlsbad contacted the victim, identified as D.G., via Facebook Messenger, the department said.
D.G. left her Carlsbad residence at 8:55 p.m. in a Lyft and arrived at a San Diego apartment complex at 9:33 p.m., the department confirmed.
The U.S. attorney’s office reported that shortly after 10 p.m., Bullard sold fentanyl to D.G. at the complex.
At 11:16 p.m., according to the department, Fulston was seen exiting the building, and Bullard messaged him shortly after, asking for “Narcan.”
The department reported that at 12:22 a.m. on Sept. 10, Bullard called 911 using the victim’s phone to report her overdose.
When San Diego police officers arrived, Bullard had already left, the department explained.
